Yes, I said it. Most women I know love me and some even adore me!
But wait, before you call me narcissistic, please let me explain. This love affair began when I was 2 years old and my dad’s wife decided to adopt me. She was unable to have children of her own and we instantly became inseparable.
Later in school, because of my small size, I was bullied big time, although they didn’t call it bullying back then. It was so bad that I began studying martial arts, but I’ve always been more of a lover than a fighter. Thankfully, thinking that I was way too cute to be pushed around, the junior and senior high school girls came to my rescue. My heroines!
Then, in my forties, I met my birth mother. The love flowed naturally and as if we had spent the last 40+ years together.
Recently, I boarded a plane that encountered serious mechanical difficulties. The captain was female and exhibited extraordinary expertise. She was large and fully in charge. I couldn’t have felt safer! Yes, infatuation does sometimes come into play but I try to keep those feelings to a minimum.
So, why am I sharing all this? It’s simple; my secret for having women love me (and the overall moral of the story) is that I have actually always loved women. I respect them, admire them, am inspired by them, and am often even in awe of them. I am convinced that women love me mostly because I first loved them.
As speakers, or business people, the question becomes, how do you feel about your audience or your target market? Do you truly, truly care about them? Do you love them? Really? You’ve heard the saying; “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”. For me, this couldn’t be truer.
I contend that your love for others will compel others to love you. When considered in a spiritual context, there could be no greater principal. Try it and see.
Until the next Tango in Paris, keep loving up!
