There is no doubt that 2017 will bring twists and turns, invariably slings and arrows. That’s life, it’s a ride. The overriding question becomes how will you react when the adversity comes? In the vain of so many legendary leaders, as Barbara Cochran put it, when bad things happen in life (or on the stage) how long will it take you to feel sorry for yourself?
Your life as a speaker/presenter, and we’re all just that, is no different. In fact, during your talk, expecting the unexpected is even more critical. In Anthony Robbins’ Rules on How to Give a Presentation* he states, “you (also) have to be able to flex so that you can be real and in the moment. People are starving for spontaneity”.
So when 2017 throws you a curve, will you be able to flex?
Consider well how you will respond to change this year because it’s coming…
I wish you the best year of your life, presentation and otherwise! May you have a healthy, happy, and abundantly prosperous 2017…
May it be the best of times, even amidst the worst of times.
Here’s to the ride of your life!
